90s Marmite

Clueless, Friends and Saved by the Bell – all nostalgia for a kid growing up in the 90s.  Cher’s plaid skirt suits, Carrie’s mules, Rachel’s haircut – all iconic moments of a not so bygone era.

90s Fashion

Yes, love and fond memories, but did we expect to revisit it in the fashion world where let’s face it, trends such as skirt-over-trousers, bubble backpacks and bucket hats were questionable.  Thankfully some of these didn’t make a comeback but once the initial fear had subsided was a 90s revival really all that bad?!

This year has already seen some of its key trends dominate again on the catwalk and the high street.  Whether or not you deem looks such as scrunchies and tie dyes, dungarees and mom jeans, mules and sport flatforms as high contenders for Room 101, be open to the possibility that with a modern twist it could win your heart all over again.  The 90s is here to stay…for now!

  1. It’s a shame you don’t have a donate button! I’d certainly donate to this excellent blog!
I suppose for now i’ll settle for book-marking and adding your RSS feed to
my Google account. I look forward to new updates
and will talk about this blog with my Facebook group.
    Talk soon!

  2. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your
blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.

Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two images.

Maybe you could space it out better?

    • Thank you for your feedback! I’m thinking of ways to improve and want a new template which doesn’t focus on the days so much when I can’t update everyday. It’s also a little wordy I agree, I have a habit of doing feature-like pieces rather than short punchy posts which I’m trying to start doing! Thanks again for the advice! Much appreciated as I’m still fairly new to blogging! H
